Welcome to the HCD Web Site

Healthcare Dialogues (HCD) is a platform with a popular series of after work networking events for the medical industry organized by leading healthcare executives. It was started in Shanghai and there are active chapters in Bangkok, Beijing, Boston, Changsha, Chicago, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Hong Kong, London, Melbourne, New York, Paris, San Francisco, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Singapore, Sydney and Taipei.
The HCD platform enables decision makers to meet, exchange ideas and socialize in a casual yet professional atmosphere. Events are generally held after work with drinks provided including tea, coffee, soft drinks, beer, and wine. Leading speakers are invited to address the audience either directly or as a member of a discussion panel and also to mix personally amongst the group. The objective is to create an environment for a free exchange of information and resources that propel the industry ahead while creating an atmosphere that encourages “healthcare deals” to get done. These “deals” can come in many forms whether it’s a multinational medical device company finding an employee or partner, a venture capital firm finding an investment, a manufacturer finding a supplier or a digital health platform finding an advertiser.
Our members come from large and small medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech and digital health firms along with hospital and clinic executives. In China, the focus is on the Chinese market while in the US and other countries, the focus is on the domestic markets with a sub-set of China discussion.
Topics of past events include Medical Device BD & Strategy, Healthcare Investment Trends, Privatization of the Healthcare Industry, Government Affairs for the Medical Device and Pharmaceutical Industries, Chinese Company Expansion Overseas, Precision Medicine, Making Pharma Affordable, Advances in Microbiome Technology, Developing Private Healthcare Services in China, Building Translational Medicine Ecosystems, Biotech Investment Tips, Cross-border Healthcare Deals, European-China Partnering, IVD Trends, Winning Doctors in a Digital World, and 3D Cellular Printing. Speakers have come from companies such as AdvaMed, BD, Baxter, CEC Capital, Cardinal Health, Highlight Capital, HG Capital, Johnson & John- son, Lilly, Lilly Asia Ventures, Medtronic, Merck, Quintiles IMS, SDIC, Sanofi, Shanghai Pharma, and Wuxi Healthcare Ventures.
Each city has its own WeChat, LINE or WhatsApp group to extend the networking and communication beyond the face-to-face events. We are continually striving to increase the communication mediums for our members to enhance the dialogue started at the events. What sets Healthcare Dialogues apart from other similar healthcare related platforms is it gives its members access to an extended network worldwide.
